Virtual Aldridge

Taking Notes during a Virtual Meeting

Virtual Aldridge is an online GCSE tutoring service run by Aldridge Education. The main aim of the programme is to provide students with the necessary tools to achieve the best possible grades in their GCSEs.

Now the programme covers Maths and English, due to the success of Virtual Aldridge we have expanded the provision for all year’s groups, meaning all Aldridge students in Years 7 to 11 will be eligible for a place at Virtual Aldridge.

The places available at each site are limited and are categorised into to target grades and year groups. The programme runs its own sanctions for attendance, where if students are absent, unauthorised, from three of their sessions, they will be automatically removed from the programme.

Due to the sessions being offered to our students, they will begin to run from 5pm on an evening, with no daytime sessions yet, as it’s a legal requirement for the students to be in school during the day. You will be offered sessions based on year group, target level and availability.

If there are no available sessions, you will be added to the waiting list for when a suitable and eligible place has become available.

If your child is interested and willing to engage in the programme, please ask them to speak to their Maths or English teacher, alternative to reach out to Mrs Fitzsimmons. If you as parents want to contact or retrieve more information, please email: leanne.fitzsimmons@darwenvale.com
